Laura Darnell "Kitty" Barger

Williamsport, MD – Laura Darnell “Kitty” Barger, 66, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on October 13, 1953 in Williamsport, MD to the late Walter Lloyd Trumpower, Jr. and Laura Belle Polley Trumpower of Williamsport, MD.

She was a 1971 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD.  She was in the first graduating class in the new high school.

Kitty was employed as a Social Worker with the Salvation Army in Hagerstown, MD until her retirement.

She was a member of the Salvation Army in Hagerstown, MD.  She was previously a Sunday School Teacher and was the Secretary of the Women’s Ministry.

Besides her mother she is survived by a sister Sharon L. Henson of Williamsport, MD; sister Donna Jean Trumpower of Hagerstown, MD; brother Walter L. Trumpower, III of Williamsport, MD; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at The Salvation Army on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 5:00 pm with the Salvation Army Captain Jimmy Taylor officiating.  Burial will be private.
