Laurie Henry Rolls

Williamsport, MD – Laurie Henry Rolls, 88, of Williamsport, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

He was born on July 31, 1935, in Merced, California to the late Lawrence and Matilda (Schmidt) Rolls.

Laurie was attending College prior to being drafted into the Army. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Korea.

He was employed by Review & Herald Publishing until his retirement. Laurie owned and operated Rolls Home Improvement.  He also worked as a Dairy Farmer in his younger years. 

He was a member of Williamsport Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Laurie enjoyed sports.  He was competitive, but also humble.  He also played basketball in college.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Audrey R. Rolls; daughter Marie Miller and her husband Jamie of Clear Spring, MD; son Christopher Rolls and his wife Tracy of Jamestown, OH; daughter Becky Lorey and her husband Michael of West Carrolton, OH; brother Bill Rolls of Florida; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 more great grandchild on the way.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son Loren “Rex” Rolls and a sister Flo Flowers.

Graveside services will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael P. Lorey officiating.
