Lila Mae Haywood

Hagerstown, MD – Lila Mae Haywood, 92, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Village at Robinwood in Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on February 24, 1929 in Williamsport, MD to the late Charles Edward and Elsie Davenport Newlin Litten.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Charles Haywood in 2013.

She was employed by L’aiglon Industries and EJ Fennel in Hagerstown, MD until 1987 and after that she worked at Roy Rogers on Burhan’s Boulevard.

Lila was a member of Downsville Church of the Brethren in Williamsport, MD.

She is survived by her son Dennis W. Haywood and his wife Robin of Hagerstown, MD; son Keith E. Haywood and his wife Theresa of Nottingham, PA; grandson Bryan K. Haywood of Maugansville, MD; granddaughter Leeann E. Haywood of Edinburgh, Scotland; granddaughter Laura M. Haywood of Nottingham, PA.

She was predeceased by seven brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Downsville Church of the Brethren on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 am with Rev. Wilkie Nunn and Lay Readers Joel Gaylor and Jason Stocks officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, MD.
