Maj. Hugo Siebeneichen, USAF Ret. Obituary


Maj. Hugo Siebeneichen, USAF (Ret.) passed away at the age of 95, on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at his home in Hagerstown, Maryland.
 
He was born on March 11, 1924 in New York, NY to the late Dr. Hugo A. and Rose (Rocco) Siebeneichen.
 
He was predeceased by his former wife, Nancy Lee Siebeneichen of Frederick, MD, and sister, Gloria Schultz of Tuxedo Park, NY.
 
Hugo was proud to have served as a pilot in the United States Air Force, and retired in 1970 after twenty years of service. Following his military retirement, he worked as an Operations Manager at BWI Airport.
 
His many varied interests included golf, photography, restoration of old cars and, in later years, creating beautiful stained glass window art and lamps. He demonstrated his expertise in competitive marksmanship by earning the Distinguished Rifleman Badge during his career in the USAF. He was an animal lover who was devoted to the many pets that shared his home.
 
Hugo is survived by his daughter Lynn Siebeneichen and fiance’ David Crist of Ashburn, VA; son Jeffrey Siebeneichen of Bethesda, MD; son Richard Siebeneichen and wife Margaret of Hagerstown, MD;  grandchildren Kelly Grissom and husband Gerald, Ashley, Megan, and Justin; great-grandchildren Cody, Bailey, and Avery.
 
Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia with full military honors on March 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
