Williamsport, MD – Margaret Fae Campbell, 99, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
She was born on May 5, 1924, in Downsville, MD to the late Harry Daniel and Annabelle (Hammond) Baker. She was the last surviving child of Harry and Annabelle.
Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, John Francis Bussard who died in 1944 in St. Lo, France during World War II. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Herbert Edwin Campbell in 1992.
She was a Homemaker.
Margaret was a lifelong member of Benevola United Methodist Church Boonsboro, MD.
She enjoyed taking care of her family, going to Shriner events with her husband Edwin, and going on small trips.
She is survived by her daughter Evalyn Kochanik and her husband Randall; son David H.E. Campbell and his wife Pamela; daughter in law Helen Marie Bussard of NC; grandchildren John F. Bussard (Lynn) of NC, Margaret M. Baxter (Andrew) of DE, Dawn R. Reilly (Mike) of Toronto, Canada, Wendy M. Cohen (Justin) of NV, Amanda N. Lombardo (Joseph) of Verona, VA, Abigail E. Romaine (Matthew) of NJ, Elizabeth M. Glass (Gregg) of Scotland, UK, Zachary D. Campbell (Brandi) of Sharpsburg, MD, and Megan J. Campbell of Fairplay, MD; 7 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a son John W. Bussard, daughter Deborah A. Younker and son-in-law Bruce D. Younker.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 4:00 pm on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Benevola United Methodist Church Boonsboro, MD on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Suzanne Jones officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
