Margaret Grubb Obituary

Shepherdstown, West Virginia-Margaret Joan “Lovey” Grubb, 91 of Shepherdstown, WV passed away on Saturday May 25, 2019 at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport, MD.

 

Born October 28, 1927 in Berkeley County West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Wesley and Annie Miller Keys.  She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Clark Grubb in 1991.

 

She was a 1945 graduate of Shepherdstown High School and retired after 32 years with Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown, MD.  After her retirement, she worked at Shepherd College in the Student Center and also for Corning Glass in Martinsburg, WV.

 

Lovey was a member of Christ Reformed United Church of Christ in Shepherdstown, WV where she was extremely active and served on the Consistory and the Altar Guild.  She was most known for being a hostess at the church preparing meals.  She was a charter member of the Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a lover of St. Bernard’s.

 

She is survived by her son the Rev. Brother Ronald C. Grubb, Order of Corpus Christi of Shepherdstown, WV.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Chester Keys and Jan Keys.

 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 1, 2019 at 10:00am at Christ Reformed UCC 304 E. German St. Shepherdstown, WV 25443 with the Rev. Gayle Bach-Watson officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.  Burial will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Christ Reformed UCC P.O. Box 2126 Shepherdstown, WV 25443.
