Williamsport, MD – Marian C. Gaylor, 97, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Saturday October 28, 2023, at Fahrney-Keedy Senior Living Community in Boonsboro, MD.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Martin Gaylor in 2011.
She was born on June 22, 1926, in Downsville, MD to the late Lewis George and Annie Vergie (Cline) Shipley.
Marian was a 1944 graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD.
She was a homemaker.
Marian was an active member of the Downsville Church of the Brethren and the Downsville Ruritan Club. She enjoyed quilting with the ladies in her church as well as cooking and baking for her family and her community. Before becoming a homemaker, Marian was employed with Fairchild Aircraft Company in Hagerstown, MD as well as Downsville Motors in Downsville, MD.
She is survived by a daughter Deborah K. Pimley (Ward) of Berlin, MD; sons Clyde I. Gaylor (Sandy) of Downsville, MD, Marion G. Gaylor (Fran) of Pinesburg, MD, Dwight M. Gaylor (Robin) of Sykesville, MD, Garry L. Gaylor (Cindy) of Hagerstown, MD, Joel E. Gaylor of Halfway, MD, Darrin C. Gaylor (Heather) of Chambersburg, PA; 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and 3 step grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marian is preceded in death by a son Jeffrey L. Gaylor. Marian was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 9 sisters as she was the last of 14 children.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday October 31, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 12:00 pm (noon) for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday November 1, 2023, at 11:00 am with Rev. Wilkie Nunn officiating.
