Marie Anne Maier

Falling Waters, WV – Marie Anne Maier, 92, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Ravenwood Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on November 8, 1928 in Edgeley, North Dakota to the late Charles Marion and Othelia Mauch Kinslow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Bill” Maier in 2003.

Marie was employed as a Seamstress at Dorby’s in Hagerstown, MD until her retirement.

She was a member of the Church of God Broadfording Road in Hagerstown, MD.  She enjoyed singing in the church choir for over 50 years.

Marie was a dedicated caregiver for her husband Bill for many years. 

She was known for her infectious smile.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl R. Burlew of Deville, Louisiana; daughter Carol A. Eagle of Marlowe, WV; brother James Leon Kinslow of Sacramento, CA; brother Duane Kinslow of Lexington, KY; brother Raymond Kinslow of OK; sister Lorene Risberg of CA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son Daniel R. Maier; 7 brothers Clyde Kinslow, Robert Kinslow, Norman Kinslow, Otis Kinslow, Thurman Kinslow, Beryl Kinslow, and Melvin Kinslow; 1 sister Vivian Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 am with Pastor James Michael “Mick” Akers and Matthew Gene Deville officiating.  The family will receive friends at funeral home 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am.  Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery in Falling Waters, WV.
