Hancock, MD – Mary Frances Harper, 84, of Hancock, MD passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
She was born on December 28, 1936 in Beryl, WV to the late Arthur Bennett and Mary Ellen Shook Blackburn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Junior Harper on November 23, 2019. They were married on February 11, 1956.
Mary attended Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, MD.
She was a Homemaker.
She attended Open Arms Ministries in Hedgesville, WV.
Mom was a wonderful, loving, caring, compassionate Godly Christian wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mary enjoyed going to church, reading her Bible, spending time with her family, vacationing, making crafts, gardening, and just enjoyed life itself.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Ellen Orndoff of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Mary Kay Howard and her husband Nick of Hancock, MD; son Richard Donald Harper and his wife Bernadette of Fairplay, MD; granddaughters Amanda Howard, Laurie Hurd, and Ashley Harper; grandsons Brandon Howard, Michael Orndoff, and Ryan Harper; great grandsons Nathan Hurd and Seth Hurd; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Edward Wayne Harper; brothers Arthur Blackburn, Jr., Charles Blackburn, Sr., and Jackie Blackburn; son in law Robert S. Orndoff.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Hilda Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Parkhead Cemetery in Big Pool, MD.
