Mary Ellen Baer Clark

Greencastle, PA – Mary Ellen Baer Clark, 80, of Greencastle, PA and formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on February 10, 1941 in Maugansville, MD to the late Norman Henry and Sara Jane Kraft Baer.

Mary was a 1959 graduate of North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD.

She was employed with Upper Darby School District in Upper Darby, PA until her retirement.  She was previously employed by Bryn Mawr Hospital Family and Youth Center in Bryn Mawr, PA.

She was of the Protestant Faith and attended John Wesley United Methodist Church in Hagerstown, MD.  She also attended Ladies Fellowship in Greencastle, PA.

Mary was a member of the Potomac Garden Club in Williamsport, MD.

She is survived by her sister H. Edalene Hess of Chambersburg, PA; sister Evangeline M. Osborne and her husband Major of Williamsport, MD; sister Phyllis A. Brady and her husband Ronald of Maugansville, MD; brother L. Jason Baer of Maugansville, MD; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother Stuart K. Baer; longtime companion Pete Minassian; in laws Arlene L. Baer and A. Byers Hess.

A memorial service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.  Interment will be private.
