Matthew Ernest Scott Clipp

Hagerstown, MD – Matthew Ernest Scott Clipp, 32, of Hagerstown, MD went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

He was born on March 27, 1988 in Hagerstown, MD to Richard Allen Clipp, I of Hagerstown, MD and the late Karen Virginia Ruth Dorton Clipp who passed away October 2005.

He received a certificate of completion from Williamsport High School in 2007 and graduated from Marshall Street School in 2009.

He was a big part of the Star Community where he was employed in Hagerstown, MD.

He attended many churches including Calvary Temple in Williamsport, MD.  He was involved with the Royal Rangers and the Youth Group.  His church life was most important to him and he volunteered in the Church nursery. 

Matthew was involved with the Special Olympics, Challenger Division Baseball in Maugansville, Challenger Division in the Hagerstown Bowling League and Basketball League. 

He was a remarkable young man, so full of life, and loved everyone.

This world would be a much better place with more of Matthew in it.

He is survived by his father Richard Allen Clipp, I and his girlfriend Stacey Thompson of Hagerstown, MD; grandmother Deb Clipp of Romney, WV; sister Shannon N. Lawrence and her husband David of Greencastle, PA; sister Amy J. Clipp-Green and her wife Ebony of Williamsport, MD; brother Richard A. Clipp, II and his girlfriend Gretchen Campbell of Clear Spring, MD; niece Alyvia N. Huntsberry; nephews Blake D.D. Clipp and Zachary Lawrence.

He was predeceased by his twin Brother Michael E.S. Clipp.

Matthew is also survived by his Star Community family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 12:00 (noon) on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Calvary Temple Williamsport, MD on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Todd A. Lady officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
