Melissa Marie Henson

Clear Spring, MD – Melissa Marie Henson, 49, of Clear Spring, MD passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, at her home.

She was born on April 16, 1974, in Hagerstown, MD to Benjamin Dwight Walters of Hagerstown, MD and Kimberly Diane (Chambers) Kaspi of Clear Spring, MD.

Melissa was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and received her associate degree at Towson University.

She was a child daycare provider for several years at “Bumble Bee” Daycare and part owner of Westview Trucking and had various bookkeeping jobs.

Melissa enjoyed photography, word puzzles, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband George Franklin Henson whom she married on June 7, 2009; daughters Loretta Henson and Brianna Henson; sons Frank Henson, Brandon Baker, Dylan Baker, Tyler Walling, and Zachary Henson; 5 grandchildren; and many close friends.

She was predeceased by her adopted father Jay Frantz and maternal grandparents Mildred and Stuart Chambers.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 11:00 am with Pastor Kim Nunberg officiating.  Interment will be in Blair’s Valley Cemetery in Clear Spring, MD.
