Williamsport, Maryland- Michael Ray Stoner, 66 of Williamsport, Maryland passed away on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.
Born on November 26, 1954 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Sara A. Keyser McGowan and the late Marvin F. Stoner whom passed away on January 7, 2021.
Mike was a 1972 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was employed at T.B. Woods for 15 years before going to Holcim/Lafarge where he was employed for 29 years until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of the Potomac Fish & Game Club in Williamsport, MD, Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM Williamsport, MD and the Hagerstown Senior Softball League. Mike's passions were Golf, Softball, Corvettes, Working Out, Fishing, Shoots and working on projects. He was a very hard worker and a committed man that did everything with such perseverance and determination. He made friends so quickly with his smile and magnetic personality. He had friends from all walks of life and cared about each one. He was such a loving Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and always a gentlemen. He will be remembered for his quick witted humor that always brought laughs to all. He was loved by all that crossed his path.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Cindy Hadley Stoner, a
son Aaron Ashley Stoner of Hagerstown, MD, a granddaughter Hadley Mae Stoner of Hagerstown, MD, a grandson Jackson Bennett Stoner of Hagerstown, MD, a step mother Alice Stoner Chambersburg, PA, a brother Rodney Stoner and his wife Peggy of Chambersburg, PA a sister Beverly Neideigh and her husband Frank of Chambersburg, PA and his beloved cat Zigfield (AKA Ziggy).
There will be no viewing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Potomac Fish and Game Club 14241 Falling Waters Rd. Williamsport, MD 21795. Masks and social distancing practices will be mandated.
