Nancy Elizabeth Burger

Williamsport, MD – Nancy Elizabeth Burger, 92, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Wednesday May 12, 2021 At Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport, MD.

She was born on October 15, 1928 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Charles and Dorothy Davis Lizer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thomas Burger in 1999.

She was a 1946 graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD.

She worked as a service representative for C&P and Verizon until her retirement in 1989.

Nancy was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Williamsport, MD, the Women’s Club in Hagerstown, MD, the ELK’s BPOE #378 Auxiliary in Hagerstown, MD  and was also a Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League since 2014.

She is survived by her daughter Karen E. Beckwith of New London, CT; daughter Anne L. Woody and husband Day of Ellenwood, GA; daughter Dorothy L. Kozura and husband Ronald; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother Edward C. Lizer and wife Hilda; brother Robert S. Lizer and wife Bonnie: granddaughter Jessica Miller.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00am with pastor Kevin Smoot officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
