Hagerstown, MD – Nathan Wayne Durboraw, 63, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.
He was born on December 19, 1956 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Marshall A. and Dorothy N. Giffin Durboraw.
He attended Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD.
Nathan owned and operated M&N Durboraw and Sons Excavating in Hagerstown, MD.
He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his grandchildren. He was such an incredible, selfless Pappy that would do anything for them, many times without them even asking.
Nathan was a limited late model and super late model dirt track race driver. He was a 17 time track champion, 11 time Hagerstown Speedway Champ, 3 time Winchester Speedway Champ, 1979 Williams Grove Challenger Champ, 2 time KARS Challenger Champ, 2019 ARCH and Metropolitan Area Racing Hall of Fame.
He was a member of the ARCH Racing Club, APA Pool League, and Williamsport Moose Lodge #2462 Williamsport, MD.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Christinia M. Myers Durboraw; daughter Dawn Marie Gross and her husband Kevin of Hagerstown, MD; son Christopher Gatrell and his wife Carrie of Keedysville, MD; son Nathan Durboraw, Jr. and his wife Terra of Hagerstown, MD; sister Marg Yost of Clear Spring, MD; sister Maydean Durboraw of Hagerstown, MD; sister Rayetta Hoffman of Three Springs, PA; brother Gary Durboraw of Hagerstown, MD; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a great granddaughter due in April; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son Curtis “Bubbles” Myers; sister Lorraine Dorsey; brother William Durboraw.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Broadfording Cemetery 13535 Broadfording Church Rd. Hagerstown, MD on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Shane Wilt officiating.
