Patricia Ellen Peterson

Patricia Ellen Peterson, 82 passed away May 3, 2021 at the Williamsport Nursing Home in Williamsport MD.  She was born August 24, 1938 in Baltimore MD.   She was placed in a Catholic orphanage in Richmond VA for a few years as a child before returning to Baltimore to live with relatives in her teen years.   After her graduation from Seton High School in Baltimore in 1955, she went to work for Bollinger Roofing Company in Baltimore and worked for them for over 25 years.  She met the love of her life; Roger Jerome Peterson SR shortly after high school and they were married in December 1956.  They spent most of their life in Mt. Airy MD raising their 4 children. 

Patricia enjoyed things like bowling, helping with her church functions, Friday night card games, swimming, cook outs and crab feasts with the family.  She also enjoyed donating her time by going to the local nursing home and visiting the elderly.

Patricia is survived by her children.  Karen Jones and husband Floyd (Butch) of Dayton MD.  Barbara Mowers and husband Kevin of Hagerstown MD.  Janice Gardner and partner Pamela Humphreys of Quarryville PA. and Roger Peterson JR and partner Melissa Wagner of Hagerstown MD.   Three grandchildren, Nicholas Moxley, Hayden Mowers and wife Samantha and Marissa Mowers. Three great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. 

She is proceeded in death by her husband Roger Peterson SR.  Granddaughter Kelly Jones, Grandson Trevor Jones, and a special friend Ronald Redding.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Her family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
