Ralph William Haines

Falling Waters, West Virginia-Ralph William Haines, 80 of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Friday January 15, 2021 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.

Born in Augusta, WV on March 12, 1940, he was the son of the late Preston Edward and Virginia Belle McBride Haines.

He was a graduate of Capon Bridge High School in Great Cacapon, WV and he was employed at Robinson Orchards in Clearbrook, VA and Rannels Orchards in Hoy, WV.  He also worked in maintenance at the Midway Trailer Park in Falling Waters, WV.

Ralph enjoyed walking and the outdoors, watching Nascar and old western films.  He was a San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Lakers fan.  He loved country music and bluegrass music.  He was a member of the Marlowe Ruritan and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his sister Vivian Smoot and her husband Glen of Williamsport, MD and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Calvin Haines.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 19, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.  For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open Tuesday at 9:00am.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at 2:00pm at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Kevin Smoot officiating.
