Indiana – Richard (Dick) Morton, 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on May 7, 2021 at Westminster Village North where he had resided for 6 years.
Born in Hagerstown, MD on April 30, 1927 he was the son of McKinley C. Morton and Helen (Washabaugh)Morton.
Dick was a 1946 graduate of St. James School and drafted into the U.S. Army, not allowing him to graduate with his class. He attended Penn State University when discharged from the Army.
Dick was a member of Zion UCC and employed at Central Chemical Corp. in Hagerstown, MD. In 1966 Dick was hired at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an active member of the Masons and the Lions Club. He was active in volunteering with numerous Indy Track events, President of the Ski Club, and helped with the Tennis Tour Team.
Dick retired from Eli Lilly after 30 plus years retiring when he was Head of Security.
Dick is survived by his children Vickie (Dave) Snyder, Allison Randol, Kim (Bill) Maya, Rick Morton and grandson Jordan Chambers.
He was preceded in death by his former wife and mother of their children, Carol McCarl (Morton) on December 29, 2018 and by his recent wife, Sara Lynn Morton on November 1, 2016.
Living are siblings, Dr. John Morton (Judy) and Susan (Richard) Lohman, several nieces and nephews.
Services were private in Indiana.
