Richard Errol "Rick" Viands, Jr.

Williamsport, Maryland-Richard Errol “Rick” Viands, Jr., 59 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 at his home.

Born August 31, 1961 in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of JoAnn Elizabeth Miller Viands of Williamsport, MD and the late Richard Errol “Dick” Viands, Sr.

He was a 1979 graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD and is a retired Correctional Officer from MCTC in Hagerstown, MD.  He was currently employed for over 20 years at Martin’s in Hagerstown where he worked in the Meat Department.

Rick was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #202 and the Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM both in Williamsport, MD.  He was also a member of the Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown, MD.  He was well loved by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister Debbie Demeritt and her husband Kevin and their son Mark of Germantown, MD, and his beloved dog Teddy.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 2, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD.  For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open Tuesday at 12:00pm.

Graveside services will be announced at a later date.
