Sharpsburg, MD – Robert Joseph “Bud” Clark, 92, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at his home in Sharpsburg.

 

He was born on April 25, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Howard Boyd and Marie Agnes (Kempnich) Clark.

 

Bud was preceded in death by his wife Mary E. Clark in 1998.

 

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

 

Bud worked as a maintenance mechanic for Fairchild in Hagerstown until his retirement.

 

He was a life member of the Western Maryland Sportsman’s Club, South Mountain Rod & Gun Club and North American Rod & Gun Club. Bud was also a member of Post #202 American Legion Williamsport, MD, the Amvets, and many other clubs and organizations.

 

Bud loved taking his trips home to Nebraska to see his family.

 

He is survived by his daughter Linda Hull; brother Al Clark; sister Betty Beam; numerous nieces and nephews; close friends Cindy and her family and Sandy and her family; his extended family from the Western Maryland Sportsman’s Club where he truly loved to spend time with everyone and made many great memories.

In addition to his parents and wife, Bud was preceded in death by 2 brothers Charlie and Mick and 2 sisters Rosie and Marie.

 

Funeral services will be held at The Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamport, MD on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 2:00pm with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating. Friends will be greeted 1 hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Hagerstown, Maryland. Military honors will be provided by the Joint Veterans Council of Washington County and Marine Corps League of Hagerstown.

 

The funeral home will be open starting at 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

 

The funeral service will be livestreamed on Wednesday on the Osborne Funeral Home Facebook page. Livestreaming will begin at approximately 1:55pm.
