Robert Eugene Clever

Hagerstown, MD – Robert Eugene Clever, 66, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 20, 1954 in McConnellsburg, PA to the late Robert John and Mary Elmira Harr Clever.

He was employed by Teledyne Landis Machine in Waynesboro, PA for 27 years until his retirement in 2002.  After his retirement he worked in Maintenance at Broadfording Christian Academy and was part owner of Valley View Lawn Service in Mercersburg, PA.

He was a member of Broadfording Church in Hagerstown, MD where he served as a Deacon, Choir member and bus ministry for 20 years. 

Robert loved gardening and was an avid Los Angeles Rams fan.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Dianna L. Benner Clever; son Chris Clever and his wife Stephanie of Williamsport, MD; daughter Bobbie Jean Myers and her husband Ryan of Mercersburg, PA; his loving grandchildren Brooke, Jordan, Colton, Evan and Carson; sister Rose Clever of Falling Waters, WV; sister Delta Shirley of Hedgesville, WV; sister Patricia Evans of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; brother Billy Clever of Falling Waters, WV; brother Dusty Clever of Boonsboro, MD.

He was predeceased by two brothers Roy Clever and Roger Clever; niece Maria O’Casio.

There will be no viewing.

Services and burial will be private.
