Robert Lefevre Obituary

Falling Waters, WV – Robert Bermont “Bob” Lefevre, 85, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

 

Robert was born in Halfway, Maryland on October 16, 1936 to the late Robert Douglas and Rachel Caroline Chilcote Lefevre.

 

He was employed by Holsum Baking Company in Williamsport, MD and formerly with Manbeck’s Bread Company in Hagerstown as a driver for 40 years until his retirement.

 

Robert was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 82nd Airborne and the 44th Tank Battalion. While in the 82nd Airborne, Robert made several jumps in different planes. His favorite plane was the C-119 made here in Hagerstown.

 

He was of the Methodist faith.

 

Bob volunteered at Hospice, The American Cancer Society, and Williamsport Nursing Home. He was a former member of Beaver Creek Country Club and loved to play golf in his spare time.

 

In his younger years, Bob played legion baseball for Boonsboro and also in The Heart of Maryland League.

 

Robert is survived by his wife Wanda Missouri (Teach) Lefevre of Falling Waters, WV whom he married on January 30, 2014 and numerous Great Grandchildren.

 

Bob was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

 

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two stepsons Donald Hoffman and Joseph Hoffman; five sisters: Catherine Stottlemyer, Frances Cosens, Dorothy Souders, Shirley Crumlich, and Nancy Hearnlaye; four brothers: Nelson Lefevre, Tommy Lefevre, Charles Lefevre, and Harry Lefevre.

 

A funeral service will be held at The Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday April 21, 2022, at 1:00pm with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 (Noon) – 1:00pm.

 

Interment will be held at Greenlawn memorial Park in Williamsport, MD.

 

Full Military Honors will be provided by The Marine Corps League of Hagerstown.
