Robert Silas Shank, Sr.

Williamsport, MD – Robert Silas Shank, Sr., 91, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on November 27, 1928 in Greencastle, PA to the late Silas S. and Helen C. Helser Shank.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Elaine Shank in 2005.

Robert was employed by Ken Byrd Auto Sales until his retirement.

He was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God in Hagerstown, MD.

Robert was an avid antique collector with a very large Coca-Cola collection.  He loved his cars and especially Cadillacs.

He is survived by his daughter Barbara A. Oldham of Boonsboro, MD; daughter Kathy E. James and her husband Bill of Martinsburg, WV; daughter Linda D. Shank of Falling Waters, WV; son Robert S. Shank, Jr. and his wife Barb of Hagerstown, MD; son Gregory W. Shank and his wife Patricia of Williamsport, MD; son Barry L. Shank and his wife Lisa of Hagerstown, MD; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister Jane Davis and four brothers Jack Shank, William Shank, Thomas Shank, and Eugene Shank.

Family and friends may pay their respects to Robert at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 12:00 – 5:00 pm.  A mask is required to enter the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert V. Robinson officiating.
