Roberta Mumma Obituary

Williamsport, Maryland-Roberta Ann Mumma, 67 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Saturday January 5, 2019 at her home.

 

Born on May 5, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Leroy, Sr. and Wanda Eunice Norris Gladhill.  She was preceded in death by her husband James Lexington Mumma, Sr. in 2017.

 

She was a 1969 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

 

She worked as a cook at Jeanne’s Confectionary in Williamsport and most recently at the Williamsport Red Men until her retirement.

 

She attended Salem Reformed United Church of Christ in Cearfoss, MD and was a member of the Potomac Fish and Game Club and Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocahontas both in Williamsport, MD.

 

Roberta is survived by her son James Lexington “Jimmy” Mumma, Jr. and his wife Lori of Williamsport, MD, a granddaughter Katelyn D. Mumma of Blacksburg, VA, 2 sisters Sherry M. Burcker of Williamsport, MD and Tammy S, Gladhill of Hagerstown, MD and 2 brothers Mitchell L. Gladhill of Hagerstown, MD and Robert L. Gladhill, Jr. of Sharpsburg, MD.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Michael A. Gladhill.

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday January 10, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.  For the convenience of family and friends the funeral home will open Thursday at 9:00am.

 

Services and burial will be private.
