Williamsport, MD – Rodgers D. Willett, 86, of Williamsport, MD and formerly of Louisville, OH passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 26, 1934 in Johnstown, PA to the late Harry Delroy and Freda Arbutus Powell Willett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean Gilbert Willett on January 19, 2018.
He was a 1953 graduate of Louisville High School in Louisville, OH.
Rodgers was employed as a Plant Superintendent with Variform Corp. in Martinsburg, WV until his retirement in 1997.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Williamsport, MD.
He was a member of IORM Conococheague Tribe #84 of Williamsport, MD; Western Maryland Sportsmen’s Club Inc. of Sharpsburg, MD.
Rodgers loved to hunt and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter Vicky L. Robinson of Spring Mills, WV; son Timothy G. Willett and his wife Desiree of Alliance, OH; daughter in law Lori Willett of Williamsport, MD; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Eric J. Willett; grandson Erik R. Shekels; sisters Gussie Underwood, Flornell Hainsey, and Wilma Bates; son in law Andy Robinson.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 12:00 (noon) on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 am with Rev. Michael Bennett officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD. Military honors will be provided by Clopper-Michael Post #10 American Legion Boonsboro, MD.
