Ronald Poffenberger Obituary

Martinsburg, WV – Ronald Lee Poffenberger, 86, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at his home under the care of Hospice.

He was born on March 23, 1937, in Williamsport, MD he was the son of Ralph and Madeline Poffenberger.

He retired from AC&T.  Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Ronald attended church at the Church of God, Point Salem Rd. Hagerstown, MD.  He was a member of the Marlowe Ruritan Club for 22 years.

He loved spending time with his family, traveling and spending time at the farm/hunting camp.  He will be forever remembered as a very kind and sweet man.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Poffenberger; daughters Ronda Cornell, Sharon Santos, and Brenda Burk; son Donald Bowers; sister Wilma Taylor; brothers Ralph, Bill, and Larry Poffenberger; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Patsy, Lois, Wanda, and Sheila; brother Gary; grandson Curtis Catlett.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 12:00 (noon) on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11:00 am with Pastor Greg Tyler officiating.  Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery in Falling Waters, WV.
