Hagerstown, MD – Scott Anthony Roach, 60, of Hedgesville, WV passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.


He was born on October 29, 1961 in Hagerstown, MD to Roy Roach of West Virginia and Nancy Anderson of Jacksonville, FL.


He was a 1979 graduate of South Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD.


He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.


Scott worked for Royal Vendors as a Quality Control Technician.


He was of the Christian Faith.


Scott liked to fish and watch and feed the deer.  He was an Oakland Raiders fan, Boston Red Sox fan, and liked watching Nascar.  He loved his Coors Light. He liked going to Myrtle Beach and hunting shark’s teeth.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren.


Besides his parents he is survived by his soulmate of over 30 years Susan Rickard of Hedgesville, WV; son Anthony Roach of Vancouver, WA; sister Sheri Roach of Jacksonville, FL; sister Kimberly Maye (Lee) of Fredericksburg, VA; sister Tina Hargis (Aaron) of Norfolk, VA; stepdaughter Amanda Sevigny (Forrest) of Kentucky; stepson Douglas Rickard (Casonya) of Hedgesville, WV; stepson Derek Rickard of Hedgesville, VA; grandchildren Ava, Luke, Douglas “Tater”, and Caddrick; numerous nieces and nephews.


He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Oscar and Ruth Shupp.


The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.


Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ken Dyar officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, MD.
