Sharon Mae Boyce embraced her Lord and Savior January 2, 2022. She is survived by her beloved husband Rev. Marvin Boyce of Hagerstown, MD, son Don and his wife, Elizabeth, granddaughters Autumn Elena, Eva Marie and Virginia Rose all of Easton, CT. Siblings Ray (Joan) Olson, Joyce (Peter) Famighetti, Ryan (Deb) Olson as well as her Aunt Fifi and many cousins also survive her. Dennis Jerome, her brother, and parents preceded her in death.
Sharon was born to Orris and Kalma (Thompson) Olson on September 26,1940. She grew up on their farm near Lake Preston, SD where she graduated high school. In 1962 she earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies at Central Bible College in Springfield, MO.
In January, 1974 Sharon married Marvin and joined in his efforts of pastoring in the Washington D.C. area as well as Flushing, NY. Together they served faithfully with their heart and hands. They retired to Hagerstown, MD in 1998.
She devoted her life to ministry, teaching children, encouraging seniors, serving as pianist, organist, singing, playing accordion. She also worked with the Revival Time ministry and the Rev. C.M. Ward at the Assemblies of God in Springfield, MO.
She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God in Halfway, MD.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 12:00 (noon) on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. A. Paul Harne and Rev. Shawn Bushman officiating.
Graveside services will be held at Rocky Gap Veteran’s Cemetery in Flintstone, MD on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11:00 am.
