Obituary
York, PA – Stephen Thomas Branigan, 80, formerly of York, PA passed away on Monday August 28, 2023, at Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster, PA.
He was born on May 18, 1943, in Mansfield, MA to the late George Henry Jr. and Winona Lillian (Bernier) Branigan.
He was employed by the school district in Red Lion, PA as a bus driver until his retirement.
Stephen loved trains and watching baseball, preferably minor league over professional. He also enjoyed reading. In addition to being a bus driver for many years, he was also employed by several other driving companies.
He is survived by his daughter Kelly Branigan-McFarlane; son Mark Branigan; daughter Kristine Hubbard; brother George H. Branigan, III; 10 Grandchildren: Anders, Hanne, Mark Jr., Christian, Logan, Audrey, Karly, Lauren, Alexis, JP; 3 great grandchildren and another on the way.
Stephen was predeceased by a brother Craig Branigan.
A memorial service will be held at The Osborne Funeral, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 3:00 pm with Pastor Kim Nunberg officiating. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
