Susan Linda Brechbill

Hancock, MD – Susan Linda Brechbill, 74, of Hancock, MD and formerly of Mt. Briar, MD passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at her home.

She was born on March 17, 1947 in Washington County, MD to the late Elmer Lee and Evelyn H. Miller McAfee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Norman Brechbill in 2011.

Susan was employed by J&M Grill and worked for her brother until her retirement.  She previously owned and operated Susie’s Home Cooking in Hagerstown, MD and previously worked for Richard’s Diner in Hagerstown, MD.

She is survived by her daughter Diana Sue Thomas; daughter Linda Thomas and her husband Lawrence of Hancock, MD; daughter Pamela Ashkettle of Hagerstown, MD; sister Kimberly D. Socks of Hagerstown, MD; brother Stephen D. McAfee of CA; grandchildren Jamie Campbell and her husband James of WV, Cassie Acre and her husband Ryan of Williamsport, MD, Amanda Seiders and her husband Matthew of PA, and Hunter Preston of PA; great grandchildren Ryan, Bryce, Mason, Kaliyah, Aliviah, Asher, Tanner, and Aspen; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son James Norman Brechbill, Jr.; sisters Judy C. Palmer and Elaine Ashkettle; brothers Wayne E.L. McAfee and Thomas E. McAfee; son in law Charles Thomas.

Services and burial will be private.
