Keedysville, MD – Susan Marie Cibula, 57, of Keedysville, MD passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD.
She was born on December 28, 1963 in Washington, D.C. to Joseph Donald and Nancy Lucetta Smith Kolostyak of Hagerstown, MD.
She was a 1981 graduate of Magruder High School.
She was employed by the United States Postal Service as a Management Analyst for 35 years.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Boonsboro, MD.
Susan loved animals, going shopping, and going to the beach.
She loved everyone she met, especially her family and grandsons.
Susan, lovingly known as Maw Maw, was the most selfless, caring person and put everyone else first. She brightened any room she was in and made everyone feel loved. She always saw the best in everybody and was the life of the party.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her loving and caring husband Andy Cibula whom she married on June 24, 1989; daughter Sarah Thompson and her husband Scott of Hagerstown, MD; son Brian Cibula of Keedysville, MD; daughter Rachel Cibula of Keedysville, MD; sister Bethany Szczesny and her husband Michael of Westminster, MD; brother Donald Kolostyak and his wife Cindy of Port St. Lucie, FL; her loving grandsons Blake and Bryce; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was predeceased by her grandparents and her father in law.
A memorial mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church 121 N. Main St. Boonsboro, MD on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 am with Father Angel Marrero officiant. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
