Sharpsburg, MD – Susan Rebecca McGlaughlin, 67, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
She was born on December 3, 1951 in Sharpsburg, MD to the late John Elmer Sr. and Mildred Louise Thomas Miller.
She was a 1969 graduate of Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, MD.
She was employed by United Propane in Charlestown, WV until her retirement. She was previously employed as a Payroll Supervisor for Rotorex, Inc. in Walkersville, MD.
She was of the Lutheran Faith.
Susan was a member of Clopper Michael Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary of Boonsboro, MD; Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocahontas of Williamsport, MD, and Amvets Post #9 Auxiliary of Middletown, MD.
She loved to travel and had accumulated 50 trips to the Caribbean and Mexico along with her annual trip to Myrtle Beach, SC.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years Mark D. McGlaughlin; son Ralph M. Gossard, Jr. of Sharpsburg, MD; son Brian L. Gossard of Boonsboro, MD; grandchildren Ralph M. Gossard, III of Emittsburg, MD and Joshua P. Gossard of Sharpsburg, MD; brother Ronald E. Miller of Sharpsburg, MD; brother Samuel G. Miller of Williamsport, MD; sister Shirley A. Cook of Boonsboro, MD; foster sister Connie Church of Fairplay, MD; foster sister Doris Stallings of Sharpsburg, MD; foster brother Raymond Thomas of Boonsboro, MD; her cats Hillary, Jeb, and Obama.
She was predeceased by two brothers John E. Miller, Jr. and Charles Miller; a sister Sandra Jean Henson; foster brothers Samuel Thomas and Henry Keesecker; foster sisters Bonnie Miller, Cindy Thomas and Virginia Keesecker.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard G. Hembrock. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
