Williamsport, MD - Susan Armona Patricia Mongan, 82, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV.
She was born on October 4, 1937 in Williamsport, MD to the late Russell C. Murray and Ethel L. McLucas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edmond “Pete” Mongan, Sr. on February 14, 1999.
Susan attended Williamsport Schools.
She was a Homemaker.
She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God in Hagerstown, MD for many years where she participated in the Kitchen Ministry, visiting shut-ins, sang in the choir, and the Red Hat Society.
She was a previous member of the Potomac Garden Club.
Susan loved holiday celebrations with her family, shopping, flowers, music, and dining out.
She is survived by her daughter Diana S. Stockslager and her husband Robert of Martinsburg, WV; niece Sherri Taylor and her husband Bob; nephew Brent Taylor and his wife Jackie; niece Emily Taylor; nephew Spencer Taylor and his wife Jes and their children Jackson and Jaron; uncle Paige Weller; several cousins.
She was predeceased by a sister Mary Anderson and her husband Joe; nephew Joe Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Stephen R. Shifflett officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Thursday. The funeral home will be open after 9:30 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
