Williamsport, MD – Thomas Eugene “Tom” Banzhoff, 79, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home.
He was born on August 27, 1941 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Harry Norman and Pauline Beatrice Barnhart Banzhoff.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Kay Barbour Banzhoff in 2011.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Tom was employed by World Kitchen and Corning Glass until his retirement. He was previously employed as a Sewing Machine Mechanic.
He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed playing pool, slots, tip jars and the horses.
He is survived by his daughter Tammy J. Hoover and her husband Mark of Williamsport, MD; granddaughter Shayla Burch and her husband Rocky of Falling Waters, WV; granddaughter Ashton Griffith and her husband Andrew of Harpers Ferry, WV; great grandchildren Mallory, Jordan, Rocky, JR “RJ”, and Maelynn; sister Catherine “Sis” Spangler and her husband Gene; sister Shirley Koogle; sister Bonnie Moats all of Williamsport, MD.
He was predeceased by two brothers Robert “Bob” Banzhoff, Sr. and Harry “Had” Banzhoff.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:00 am.
