Thomas Robert Drury, Sr.

Hagerstown, Maryland-Thomas Robert Drury, Sr., 72 of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday August 1, 2020.

Born Monday, April 26, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Ignatius S., Jr. and Catherine M. McCarney Drury.

Tom was a 1966 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.  He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam era.

He was employed by Southland Corporation and Snyder of Berlin for many years.

Tom was a member of VFW Post #1936 in Hagerstown.  He was a diehard Washington Redskins fan and an avid and accomplished bowler having achieved a perfect 300 game.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth “Ginger” Drury; his children, Giniffer Smith of Martinsburg, WV, James Clark of Hagerstown, MD and Kelly Morrow of Chambersburg, PA; two sisters Margie (Ernest) Stoner of Sharpsburg, MD and Catherine (Timothy) Young of Hagerstown, MD; one brother Jeffrey Gorman of Mercersburg, PA; one half sister Darlene Drury of Williamsport, MD; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a brother Ignatius S. “Butch” Drury, III, his son Thomas R. Drury, Jr. and his son in law John Kelly Smith.

The family will receive friends on Thursday August 6, 2020 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD.  For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will open Thursday at 9:00am.  Due to Covid-19, a mask must be worn to enter the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held on Friday August 7, 2020 at 11:00am at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Kim Nunberg officiating.  Military honors will be provided by Morris Frock American Legion Post #42.
