Tommy Allen Durst

Clear Spring, MD – Tommy Allen Durst, 61, of Clear Spring, MD passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on April 30, 1959 in Cumberland, MD to the late James Edward and Ruby Jean Wright Durst.

Tommy was a 1977 graduate of Clear Spring High School in Clear Spring, MD.

He was most recently employed by Ulta Distribution in Chambersburg, PA for 2 years, previously employed by PETCO in Hagerstown, MD for 5 years, and Garden State Tanning (W.D. Bryon Tannery) in Williamsport, MD for 24 years.

Tommy facilitated amusing paint parties for friends, loved to do crafts and yardwork, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his husband of 18 years Adam Ray Whitzel-Durst of Clear Spring, MD; sister Vicky L. Dorsey and her husband Mark of Clear Spring, MD; brother Kevin E. Durst and his wife Lynda of Clear Spring, MD; nephews John Jason Albright of Clear Spring, MD, Jeremy Dorsey and his wife Sara of Hancock, MD, Derek Durst and his wife Marissa and their son Marshall of Hagerstown, MD, Daniel Durst and his girlfriend Taylor of Hagerstown, MD; father-in-law Raymond L. Whitzel of Carlisle, PA; brother-in-law Brian R. Whitzel and his wife Kimberly and their daughter Savannah Whitzel and her boyfriend Noah of Mt. Holly Springs, PA and his son Levi Whitzel of Newville, PA; furry companion “Bailey”; many cousins and great friends.

He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Evelyn L. Fahnestock-Whitzel.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open at 12:00 (noon) on Monday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11:00 am.  Burial will be private.
