Vicki Burry Obituary

Vicki Ann Burry joined her beloved husband, Charles “Charlie” G. Burry in heaven on 2 September 2021 after passing away at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born 7 May 1939 in Baltimore, MD to Herman M. Roth and Bertha Marie (nee Cook) Roth, Vicki graduated from Eastern High School in 1957 and on 10 August of that same year married Charlie, the love of her life.

From 1965 to 1988, Vicki worked for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) as an Administrative Supervisor and Legal Secretary. While working for WSSC she looked forward to annually working with the Maryland General Assembly’s session in Annapolis.

After selling their home in New Carrollton, MD, the couple retired to Berkeley Springs, WV and had their dream home built in New Hope Acres in 1988. Although retired, the couple was very active in the Berkeley Springs community. Vicki volunteered at the Berkeley Springs Library and was a longtime member of the Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church.

Vicki joined Charlie, her parents and dearest sister-in-law, Genevieve Casper and her husband Clarence “Cas” Casper, in everlasting joy and contentment. She leaves behind a niece, Sherree Grebenstein and her husband, Robert Grebenstein, of Williamsport, MD and nephews Michael Casper of Pensacola, FL and Steven Casper. Butler, PA.

Patsy Long of Berkeley Springs was like a sister to Vicki and was always there for her. At the end of her life, Vicki was in the loving, trusted hands of Pat who she loved dearly.

Graveside Services will be held on 16 September at 2 p.m. at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flinstone, MD with Pastor Bob Osborne presiding. Donations in the name of Vicki to the Morgan County Humane Society are welcome.

Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport was entrusted with Vicki’s final wishes and the family greatly appreciates their kindness during this difficult time.
