Virginia Lee Gay

Shepherdstown, WV – Virginia Lee Gay, 95, of Shepherdstown, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at home.

She was born in Hagerstown, MD on October 21, 1927, to the late Carl Roger Boncord and Lila Virginia (Smith) Stine.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Lee Gay on April 3, 2003.

Virginia was a 1944 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

She was a Homemaker.  She was previously employed with C&P Telephone in Hagerstown, MD.

She was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Virginia was a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her daughter Bernice A. Cline-Johnson of Shepherdstown, WV; son Bruce Cline of Shepherdstown, WV; stepdaughter Wanda L. Poffenberger and her husband Rob of Sharpsburg, MD; grandchildren Carl Cline (Stacey) and Marie Cline; great grandchildren Carley, Cameron, Jay III, Troy, Michael, and Jared.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Jay A. Cline, Sr., grandchildren Jay A. “Bird” Cline, Jr. and Melissa Cline.

The family will receive friends at The Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 10:00am – 12:00 (Noon).

Graveside services will be held at Samples Manor Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD on Tuesday August 1, 2023, at 1:00 pm.
