Sharpsburg, MD – Vonda Lucille “Vonnie” Jamison, 82, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 as a result of a Motor Vehicle Accident.
She was born on August 17, 1937 in Sharpsburg, MD to the late Grover Albert Churchey and Anna Belle McGowan Forsythe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Ray Jamison on January 2, 2018.
She attended Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD.
Vonnie worked and managed the family business Churchey’s Grocery and Gas of Sharpsburg, MD for most of her working life.
She attended Sharpsburg Bible Church Sharpsburg, MD.
She was a member of AARP.
Vonnie volunteered at the Conococheague Sportman’s Club in Sharspburg, MD for many years.
She enjoyed her daily gatherings with friends at the Battleview Market in Sharpsburg, MD.
She is survived by her niece Conda L. Slick and her husband Michael of Boonsboro, MD; niece Brenda L. Dellinger and her husband Robert of Boonsboro, MD; niece Melinda L. Ruthenburg and her husband David of Key West, FL; 1 great niece and 2 great nephews; 1 great great niece and 3 great great nephews; brother in law Claude W. Eccard.
She is also survived by many friends especially Neil, Bonnie, Trevor, Wendell and Matthew.
She was predeceased by her sister Arbutus Virginia Eccard and her special friends Butch and Carmen Canfield whom she departed this life with.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Nancy Green officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 -11:00 am prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery Sharpsburg, MD.
