William Robison, Sr. Obituary

Hagerstown, MD – William Reed Robison, Sr. born in Library, PA to Laura Jean Paul and Millard H. Robison on August 7, 1937.  He passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Commonwealth Senior Living Hagerstown, MD. He attended Hagerstown High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Lowery.  He worked as a mechanic at Buster Holloway and Letterkenny Depot.  He attended Sears Service Training in Pennsauken, NJ and worked as a service technician at Sears until his retirement.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Henson McCuen and Jean Mowen, brothers Jack, Jerry Lee, Bob, and Paul.  He is survived by his brother Tom, his wife of 66 years, Barbara; his children Teresa and William, Jr.; grandchildren Roberta, Carl, and Michelle; great grandchildren Lindsey, Logan, Lexie and Angalena.

Bill loved to read western novels and collected Heisey glassware and animals.  His passion was attending auctions to add to his collection.  He was an active member of the Maugansville Ruritan Club until his health became an issue.

A former member of Mountain View Baptist Church, he served diligently in the bus ministry and the youth program.  He was most recently a member of the Paramount Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 11:00 am with Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating.
