William Vaughn Britner

Williamsport, MD - William Vaughn "Bill" Britner, 77 of Williamsport, MD passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.

Born, September 18, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Ronald O. Sr. and Dorothy J. Irwin Britner.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years Barbara M. Britner in 2011.

He was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School.

He was employed by Mack Trucks of Hagerstown, MD for over 30 years.

He was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church Williamsport, MD.

Bill was also a member of UAW Local #171 Hagerstown, MD.

He is survived by his son Lawrence V. Britner and his wife Sarah of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Susan L. Nemcek and her husband Dale of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Anne M. Britner-Schiffers and her husband Jorg of Rotterdam Netherlands; grandsons Thomas K. Iseminger of Hagerstown, MD, Eric V. Britner of Hagerstown, MD and Samuel K. Iseminger of Hagerstown, MD; brother Ronald O. Britner, Jr. of Bedford, PA; sister Dorothy A. Hager of Richmond, VA; brother David O. Britner of Hagerstown, MD.

He was predeceased by a son Terrence V. Britner and two brothers James W. Britner and Harry L. Britner.

A memorial service will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ernest Witmer officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Friday from 1:00-2:00 pm.

Burial will be private.
