Traditional Service
Service including embalming, the services of the funeral director and staff, use of our facilities for a one day viewing and funeral ceremony, or funeral service in a local church, register book, memorial folders, thank-you cards, and necessary automotive equipment. We encourage you to bring photos, and other memorabilia to personalize the service.

Graveside Service/Memorial Service
A Visitation permits friends and family to gather, share memories, and pay last respects as they share in the loss. Photographs, personal memorabilia and other special items are used to spark memories and honor to the departed loved one. Services may be held at the funeral home, a local church, or another location.

Cremation
Cremation is an alternative manner of final disposition. There are a variety of arrangements involving Cremation, which permit us to provide a truly personalized service. Traditional Funeral Services may be followed by Cremation, or Cremation may precede a Memorial Service.

Following are some questions and answers about funeral services.  Click each question to view its answer.

Although not required by law, you may prefer to select a burial vault. Burial vaults are sealed, lined, and warrantied and are used in cemeteries for underground interment. Outer burial containers may be required by your cemetery or memorial park to help preserve the beauty of the property and to reduce maintenance costs by supporting the weight of the earth and of heavy equipment that may pass over the grave.

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

If cremation is preferred, you will still be able to include visitation and a service in your arrangements. For a cremation service, you may select a casket or alternative container for the viewing and visitation.

In many cases, families have a memorial service at the funeral home, or at another location such as a local church, after the cremation. We encourage you to bring photos, and other memorabilia to personalize the service and honor to your departed loved one.

No. Many people prefer to bury the urn. While not required by law, many cemeteries or memorial parks do require the use of an urn vault.
